He refers to things like this in his blogs: myspace/twitter about how he doesn't like that its getting darker sooner, and about the "sun" not coming out today. I think this is just a song about what it says. Enjoying a beautiful day in nature, and how it makes you feel. | |

I think the best part about AG lyrics are the fact they're vague enough to leave it open to interpretation. However, I would prefer to know what the lyrics mean to him, rather then what "I" think they mean. This song sounds like inner struggle and I did think it could partly about writing music/songs and having so many feels/thoughts trapped inside, that he can't get out. I may be completely wrong in saying this, but it's like he's trapped in a nightmare. (his own mind) lost in a haunting thought spinning me around once more i wake just to feel the way as the daylight comes around i turn with my eyes on the back door your face is light and cocaine white (this sounds like a muse in a way, with a message he can't quite understand) one message beating through (the messages seem so obvious, yet he's still can't see it) smoke's filled the air and i'm struggling to breathe (not actual smoke people, just referring to being completely overwhelmed) let them be calm so i finally can sleep everything you intended to say (when he says "they" I think he is referring to his own thoughts, he has so much on his mind he can't escape his own thoughts. He is having trouble expressing them,they're not coming out the way he intended) don't go back on your words you always said you'd tell me first (in these 2 lines, I see him speaking about himself, like he is betraying himself.) verse after endless verse i can't escape the echoed words i long to find a cure for the feeling i find in these chords i smile as it burns (I think these lines speak pretty clearly, music/song writing is like a high, a release.) i've been erased from the picture (he's lost something in him, he once had. He doesn't see himself as he did before.) excuse, oh no anything goes (a moot point, there is no right or wrong.) excuses, you know it doesn't work (he almost sounds like he himself a question, while answering it in the next line.) again, I read what other people write, and I could be completely wrong, I really appreciate all the people who post things like I asked AG what "Blank" was about and they give his actual meanings to the songs. |
