it always reminded me of a serial killer sitting next to their freshly-murdered victim, especially the line about room 318: "But if they knew just what my night was coming to, god would they vomit and run."
and the "I will clean the room up nice" eg, remove all the blood and torn curtains. and "you have gone too far," like maybe he abused her in the relationship and she snapped and killed him?

amanda wrote on the WKAP site that this song was partly written for an artist she fell in love with, who she refers to as the "astronaut". She mentions one occasion when herself and the astronaut were picnicing by the river and she sketched the tattoo on the back of his right arm...soon after, they parted ways and that was all she was left with. |
