you pretty much nailed everything this song has to offer.
my one addition is the shifting meaning of the word "leaves" in this song, which is at once the literal leaves of a tree, a metaphor for how his body is like leaves/connection to nature, and the literal meaning of leaves. Things he leaves behind on earth. Brilliant.
also i love the irony of a song about suicide/death being slowly shifted to a live performance of it. also it seems to be a little bit of humility or acknowledgment that he doesn't completely feel that way, such as other album finishers "Exegenesis" and "Eskimo Snow".
