| Jason Reeves – Someone, Somewhere Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I think this song is not as much about noticing that there's someone in love with you, but I think it's more about noticing which people are good for you. How often do people fall in love with someone with whom they know it will never work out? And how long does it take for them to get over that? And how long will it take them to realize that the person they always go to when it hasn't worked out yet again, really is 'the right one,' as Jason puts it? This song kinda reminds me of Madame Bovary. She was such an ass that she only realized when she was dying that her husband was the only one who ever really loved her. None of her stupid lovers who disappointed her aaaall the time did, but yeh, it was too fucking late at that time. She could have been happy if she just realized that before. Just make sure something like that never happens to you, count your blessings, be content with what you have, don't fucking waste your precious time on people who'll only misuse you. |

| I feel so sad for the writer of this song. Seems like everything is going wrong in his life. But then putting it in such a catchy song. Awesome. | |

One of my favourites as well. I'm just sucking in singing along to this part "The writing on the subway wall Reminds me why your words don't console me anymore While I'm lying wide awake on my bedroom floor" Damn fast. XD |

With this song it doesn't really matter what it is about, because it's so brilliant. I love how crooked and broken Matt's voice sounds in this song. Makes it more believable. Like he's going through a rough time and seriously sounding like he is. Awesome. |

I don't know anything about the West Memphis 3, but to me this song is about someone really opening up to a person they love, knowing they are taking a huuuuge risk (getting rejected/hurt), but they think it's really worth it (this time). And I get that when i look at their age. Because mid-thirties is around the time you really start settling down and everything. nevertheless this song is relatable to for people of all ages. And i love it. |
