| Adele – Don't You Remember Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
adele said in an interview that this was a hard song for her to write and sing because she's admitting things, admitting faults or traits, about herself that are true (i.e., fickle heart, bitterness, wandering eye). you can hear the pain in the way she sings the chorus. truly amazing. correction: it's "no final kiss to seal any sins" in the first verse. it's in her handwritten lyrics. |

beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. this song moves me to tears every time. i like the acoustic version that she seems to perform every where else rather than the version on the album. the chorus just sounds so much better. i saw an interview where she was explaining this song. she said that whereas "rolling in the deep" is a song that says "you're leaving, but i'll be fine, whatever", this song is her basically crawling back and wanting her ex again, even though she knows that she can't have him. it's a really sad song. best lines: "i hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded that, for me, it isn't over." i also love: "nothing compares, no worries or cares. regrets and mistakes, they're memories made. who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?" |

this song is truly something special. basically, a she liked a guy who acted as if he liked her back. but then he snubbed her and is now with another girl. pretty self explanatory. i love the contrast of the music with the lyrics. i love the lines: "now, I'm a bit confused cos what I felt I thought was true... did she barge in and steal your heart away? or did you know from the first day I was just someone to play? if so, damn that's cold" |

in an interview, adele said it's a simple love song. one is convincing the other to love them completely. this song is absolutely amazing. her voice is boundless. |

| Sia – Never Gonna Leave Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |

probably my favorite from the album. as for the meaning, i think she's talking about her love who has died (aka left) but she still has that person's love with her and she will always have that. it's catchy and has a beautiful meaning. sia has done it again. |

| Sia – Stop Trying Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i love this one! it's so fun and catchy. i'm guessing here, but i think it might be about trying too hard to fit in. about just accepting yourself and your friends and living life. | |
| Sia – Under The Milky Way (The Church cover) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I first heard it on a car commercial awhile back, and it blew me away. Such a beautiful cover. | |

I've been listening to this song since the album came out a while back. It is absolutely, hands down, my favorite song by her to date. I think it's very much about unrequited love. She wants this person so badly, but she can't have him. She doesn't necessarily know him that well, she just wants them to be together, even though she knows it's not possible. It's so delicately and beautifully sung, which just adds to the emotions. Heartbreaking, but brilliant nonetheless. |

| Kate Nash – Take Me To A Higher Plane Lyrics | 15 years ago |

i love when she sings "everyone i fucking hated is in this room!" i think it's the best line in the song. i think it's about being stuck in something (not necessarily a relationship but maybe a job, a friendship, a situation, etc.) and getting fed up with it all. just wanting to escape that bad situation. brilliant. |

| Norah Jones – Even Though Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I love this song! A favorite from the album for sure. I have my ideas about the meaning. An ex-boyfriend that she still sees/hangs out/is intimate with, even though (hint hint) she is well aware that she shouldn't do so. "'Cause I know trouble will follow, but I have to go...": it's bad for her and there are consequences, but she can't help herself and she has to go see him. The "I'm feeling lonely" indicates that she is alone and single, technically speaking. At least that's what I think. |

| Norah Jones – I Wouldn't Need You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I agree that it seems dirty, but I think it's also very intimate. Aside from that, though, I absolutely adore this song. It's probably one of my favorites from the album. I especially love "If you could hear my voice crack over the phone." There's something so emotional about that particular line. | |
