i think its all about a state of confusion and just being lost after a breakup. cool extended metaphor in the beginning saying shes a silhouette or a shadow which, obviously, isn't close to you but never leaves your sight "Who really needs the past With the allure of something new" i think that's a little bit of sarcasm actually because in the next part "So we split apart at last Went back to places that I knew Before you" she isnt somewhere new, but back to where she was before "And you never have to see The light that wraps itself around me And I never have to know The faces there The places you go" now its none of their business what each other does which i think kinda sucks for them "So I'll try to postpone my existence Yeah I'll stop or start my heart if you ask me to I'll stop my heart and then I'll wait for you" they still want each other "I was sure I never would be sure we were in love I am sure I never would be sure of love to come After you" its like ok we broke up what do i do now? like pretty much she's lost idk thats what i see it cuz thats how i relate to it |

When I first heard it I thought he said "I found you both upon your bathroom floor" So I thought it was about her cheating on him Then I saw "balled up" and how people were saying they think it's about a girl who does drugs or something and i think that makes sense too. ooh && i love his voice on this one. its so pretty. |
