Pink Floyd – Outside the Wall Lyrics 16 years ago
When I hear the whole album without any visuals, I imagine this song to somehow be the death of Pink. I believe it's the children's choir in the background echoing the lyrics that does it for me. The identical instrumentals as with the beginning of In The Flesh? also gives me the interpretation that Pink may have died the same way he was born: vulnerable, no walls (as they were 'demolished' in The Trial) and alone. In the lyrics, he's reflecting on the feelings of those that tried so hard to break his walls, but failed and gave up on him ('some stagger and fall'). He doesn't seem to feel any particularly strong emotion about the fact that he had to demolish his own 'wall' and nobody else helped him. It was just a simple thought; a last testimony before his death. And alas, the bricks to the wall loop like the CD is meant to; straight to the beginning of another person's life.

My username is named after this song because of how much you can interpret out of a 1-2 minute song. It's quite wonderful, and quite possibly one of my favorites for that reason.

The Fray – How To Save A Life Lyrics 16 years ago
This is still one of my favorite songs since I first heard it in 2006. Through almost four years of lots of laughs, joy, heartbreak and pain, this song has let me go through it gracefully at the times where I was in the most turmoil. I love it so much; no matter what other song might take another's place, this one will ALWAYS capture my heart.

The Fray – Never Say Never Lyrics 16 years ago
Everyone has said what needs to be said, but the lyric that sticks with me is the mournful way Isaac Slade sings 'don't let me go' all throughout the song. I can't help but feel my heart wrench a little bit when I hear that. He always seems to pack all that emotion right into his voice, I love it.

Good Lord, I love this song. It's great. Am I nuts for liking it? No; I'm insane! ;)

Mika – Grace Kelly Lyrics 16 years ago
Now that I think about it, Mika does sound a lot like Freddie Mercury. I love this song, though; it's a very strong and optimistic song for the ones that feel out-of-place sometimes.

Billy Joel – Vienna Lyrics 16 years ago
It's like my father is talking to me all over again in this song. Every single interpretation of these lyrics tells me what he used to tell me: Slow down, appreciate right now and take some time to do what YOU need to.

Fort Minor – Where'd You Go? Lyrics 16 years ago
This song is in the perspective of Fort Minor's wife, I believe, and it's kinda like that in my previous relationship. He just suddenly got out of it without much thought that I knew of. This song is what I feel sometimes, especially the second verse and the 'I think it's a little fucked up that I'm stuck here waiting/at times debating/telling you I've had it with you and your career/me and the rest of the family here/singing "Where'd you go?"' part of the chorus. Only the career is more representive of all his bullshit than his actual job.
