| I think everyone has bits and pieces to this puzzle of a great song. My little piece is I think maybe the person is in a family or with a group that is dysfunctional. Maybe not physically abusive but emotionally because everyone around them is so screwed up. The person singing is telling them to just get through this rough night and things will start to get better because those people are so involved in their own crazy and messed up lives they forget about the main character and what they are being put through. | |

I agree with everyone above me..... To me this song is about a guy who has let down a girl. "I was a dreamer before I went and let you down Now it's too late for me and my white horse To come around" and he's saying that he sorry, but she should have known not to take things to seriously because it's the real world. "That you're not a princess This ain't a fairytale You're not the one I'll sweep off your feet Lead you up the stairwell This ain't Hollywood This is a small town" but at the same time the blame is still on him because even though neither of them should have expected much it grew into something more. and he hopes that she can forgive him for hurting her. and he hopes that she will find that "White Knight" "You're gonna find someone someday who might actually treat you well There in my rear view mirror disappearin' now Now it's too late for me and my white horse To catch you now" Even though it's too late for him. I love this song because it's soo true. I wish it was on itunes. |
