| He's leaving town to go somewhere else for a while, but comforts her saying that he'll be hers forever. He sees her sweater on her bed, realizing how perfect she is for him. But all he can think about is going out to explore the world without her, seeing what it's like to be with other girls. He has to do it, it's the only way he'll satisfy his urge and ever be content. And if she stays with him through it all, he'll end up with her because he knows that she's the best thing he'll ever have. He rationalizes all this to her and himself by saying that he'll always be the same guys she's always loved, only he'll feel a sense of completion because of his experiences.
