This, with homecoming are my favorite two songs in the album (I like all of them though) About the meaning, I really can't say for sure what the meaning of this song is for it has a lot of meanings depending on how you look at it. I think he's asking himself if believing in religion is worth it "Why would you really want to live forever" Lastly, he, like me, is wondering if god is real. He realizes that christianity is not his thing "And I can't pretend anymore to be a part of this And I'll leave my burdens at the door But I'll never walk here again " Anyways those are my 2 cents on that song. |

this song to me it's about religion, why? Simple, things like: "Give me the strength to move this mountain" He is giving up in his faith, I realized that when I heard: "This battered path laid out before me And no one said this would be easy But it's something I must do for myself It's going to be a long hard road Which I will walk alone " When he said that that was a path he would walk alone, that's when I realized the meaning of the song. Actually, that's not the only song in the album that has that meaning. But this songs is fucking badass. |
