Not sure if anyone's interpreted it this way before, but I think this song is about hating your ex for ending up happy and not moving on. The chorus, beginning with "Nevermind," gives the song a really "screw you" kind of feel, and the way she sings it, she sounds angry and hateful. "...the best for you, too." Her ex wishes the best for her, and she spits it back at him, knowing that he got exactly what he wanted and she's left with nothing. The other definitions and interpretations are nice and all, but I really feel as though this song is about being upset and hateful against your ex. |

The song is meant to be written about how she her parents hated her clothing and she felt free in catholic school (where you wore uniforms) by changing and messing around with her hair. So the song is meant to be written from the perspective of a teenager. At least you tried. |

I'm pretty sure it's a breakup song, and the guy moves onto another girl (that girl you found). She really wants to talk to him, and try to fix their relationship, but she acknowledges she did him wrong (Can't say why I kept this from you). So, she hopes they can get back together and she can "turn intro" him again (I think I saw someone post this before. When you date someone, you kinda "turn into" them), before the other girl becomes the only thing he cares about (the only thing you ever.. [knew]). Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's "The only thing ya ever knew" and "only thing you ever knew". |
