| Hah, practically all of their songs have some type of connection to God and Flyleaf's faith. I haven't found any of their songs that don't have anything to do with God, actually. They just don't market themselves as a christian band because they don't want people to like them solely based on that fact. | |

In my opinion, this song is one of the most meaningful songs I've ever heard from flyleaf. Shes looking back on everything God has done for her, and shes confused as to why He has done what He did. She even says "Its too much. Youre too much. Who am I? Who am I that You have brought me this far?" The entire song is Flyleafs way of showing thanks towards God, and I find it brilliant. |

This song is DEFINATELY my favorite song of Memento Mori. In my perspective, I think it's about the resurection of someone. "Dying to death, and raising to life." Im PRETTY sure that pertains to dying and being risen up. the song also says: "A spirit's alive, a body has died." Pretty self-explanitory. When your body dies, your spirit becomes alive. 1 Corinthians 15:42-44: "So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised up in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised up in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised up in power. It is sown a physical body, it is raised up a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual one." |

I actually think Lacey wrote this song for her younger sister. In an interview she stated that many of the new songs in Memento Mori were made for her sister. She's almost pleading to her sister to make the best of things, and to remember that she means everything to her. The song says: "You're so much more than you know Heart of the purest gold Pure clean and white as snow Clothed in such splendor Oh, what a beauty for me" The entire song shows Lacey's appreciation for her sister, and i think its the cutest thing ever : ) |
