I'm not sure if it's related to insomnia or anything. He says in a lot of lines that he can't sleep ('Cause i feel like such an insomniac,why do i tire of counting sheep,when I'm far too tired to fall asleep). If I can go off on a wild tangent, I muse that he's so tired from not sleeping that his reality is becoming dreamlike. Hence, all the nonsense in the first chorus. Also, he's even more delirous~ he goes so far as to say goodbye to all the 'fireflies', and heck, he even keeps some. And of course, "'Cause my dreams are bursting at the seams " which seems like more reality/dream mixing. There might be nightmares or something horrible when he's awake; "please take me away from here", which he says 3 times. Sorry for all that, xD I'm in advanced English, and we're training to find meaning in every damn word. |
