Hmm, I think daveecee got it completely wrong. This song is not supposed to be specific to a certain situation. That is what is great about JC - he writes with the intention of a universal meaning, just like all wonderful song writers. It's not about 'design processes' or gender differences. This song portrays the well-documented teenage emotion of loving a girl who doesn't love you back! And it's as simple as that. What is clever are all the themes within it that hook the geek/programming community - shyness, apathy, unimportance. "Code monkey think manager want to write goddamn login page himself!" - All geeks have been there! :) |
