The Knife – Pass This On Lyrics 16 years ago
and i think she means not to pass a message on, but his or her love...
People, it's only what I find in this song...
I don;t think it has anything to do with incest, stereotypes etc...
Only pure passion

also if you see the movie, karin is just watching from a distance, not trying to get in to it and takes the progression seriously, and believes its wrong when she see's the naivity of the men and the woman, thinking it is real.
It's also not only guys who are dancing around the women impersonator , also a woman and she's actually the first to move.
I think the social acceptance thing is only there as a contrast, that superficial thing, make believe conquers everything accept the person waiting.
Also It's like looking as a bird, she's sitting there.Just not chaining herself to the situation.
Cause did you ever try to imagine what happens when the song is actually over...how everybody feels? What they do next?
She is the only one that knows what happened.
The rest is just naive because they believe in something that isn't there...
Hope this makes sense to anybody out there

I don't think its meaning isn't just about somebody's brother,I think the core in the song is the passion.
It's about somebody who isn't serious about somebody else's feelings.
Cause she's talking to her lover.
Somebody who believes she's in love with, but actually being the only one in the relation that opens his heart for the other side.
She loves the attention she gets and she's all about that.
I think it's about a really egocentric "needing to be attractive" person, that lets hearts bleed because she doesn't exactly love a person, she probably loves the thought more of the attraction to somebody new, but familiar, something she finds beautiful and wants just for herself.
she says, when you two danced, ow what a dance, you two laughed ow what a laugh.
It's like she's jalous about there passion and love and wants to get in between, to experience it, without caring about there feelings. And she only has the beauty of the one person allready
Just confirming her own seductive, attractive side and taking what she thinks is beautiful and stealing it's heart.
like buying a souvenir that had personal emotional value to the one selling it.
A lot of songs by the knife seem to have the subject of the women's superficial attractiveness leading to heartbleeding passion and carelessly playing with peoples hearts.Which is a power attractive girls or guys can abuse...
so, for me it's about emotional abuse through superficial attractiveness
I live in the centre in Amsterdam, I hear these things all the time.
