I like this song, but it honestly reminds me of the cult, Heavens Gate, that committed mass suicide. Heaven's Gate's leader, Marshall Applewhite believed that they needed to evacuate the earth as soon as they could, because they saw Comet Hail-Bop. So its interesting to me to listen to this as it says he's leaving today and it's a "second chance." I certainly don't believe the Heaven's Gate stuff, but the correlation between this song and this cult is very interesting. |
