| Kings of Leon – Milk Lyrics | 16 years ago |

"Salty leave , salty leave" -her leaving leaves a 'sting' or simply hurts "tell me the one about the friend you knew and the last good night that we toasted too" -just wants to reminesse about good times in their relationship "Salty leave, stay for me, stay for me" -maybe she left with 'it's not you, it's me' mentallity so he says 'stay for me not you' "We drank wine in the matinee and the spotlight showed what I chased away" -drank wine might mean he felt they were a mature couple with the spotlight showing what he once had (someone famous who couldn't handle his love?) "Stay for me" "She saw my comb over, her hourglass body" -he looks like shit compared to her beauty "she has problems with drinking milk and being school tardy" -typical teenage problems (maybe doesnt drink milk to keep from getting fat?) "She'll loan you her toothbrush she'll bartend your party" -examples of her overall generosity "Kill me, kill me" -just kill me if i cant have you I called and called, but I can't get through, said he's on his own, but his own is you -screening his calls, lying that 'new guy' she's with is single when they're fucking this is just my guess, trying not to look too deep into it, but pretty sure its along the lines of losing a girl he deeply cared for. by far one of their best songs overall |

the piece at the end is by far one of the best instramentals in music say what you want but i almost broke my neck rocking out to it so hard but thats what makes Protest The Hero, Protest The Hero... from their insanely deep, complex lyrics to their uncommon rhythms/transitions, Protest The Hero is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise repeatitive, bland music industry ....just proves how music should been seen more universally as an art rather than just simplified entertainment. |

| Attack Attack! (USA) – Stick Stickly Lyrics | 16 years ago |

i thought this was a joke when i first heard it....then i couldnt turn it off from headbanging to glowsticking (??) what a transition, i love it, like the demented love-child of techno and hardcore....its funny but it works! i admire bands like this (similar to Underoath) who dont let th stereotype of their music genre define them as a band. yeah they sound like something possessed but just proves music is MUCH more than plucking strings and banging drums. |

| The Tragically Hip – The Last Of The Unplucked Gems Lyrics | 16 years ago |

i feel that it has to do with elite status being at the hip show in syracuse this past weekend (nov.7/09) they played this amazing tune and got me thinkin bout it. i relate this song to Hip shows performed in Canada vs those performed in the US (these being 'the last of the unplucked gems') if i had to choose between a group of hip shows in the states and in Canada then i would obviously choose the canadian shows, but not to say the shows in the states are bad they're almost just as incredible but not as breathtaking as Canadian shows..... the last chosen (plucked) out of a group of elite. |
