| As Cities Burn – Gates Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Though it isn't sung this way, I believe the last two lines of the first verse are meant to be read as "Somehow Your blood made You blind to our divide / I am all Yours." I hope this clears up some confusion for some people. | |
| Showbread – Dinosaur Bones Lyrics | 14 years ago |

"they paint it colors i can't stand but they will not touch it's heart they stick tacky ornaments on it and they sell it to the kids i can barely stand to see it now " I think this part is about how Showbread hated that people were referring to them as a "hardcore" band and how people associated them with the whole "scene." The overall message of the song is that no matter how Showbread is sold, what people think of them, how they may change, etc., their duty as a band is to spread the good news of Jesus! |

| The Rocket Summer – Nothing Matters Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| The lyrics are telling the message from Ecclesiastes. Compared to love, absolutely nothing else on this Earth matters. We should "invest in the Maker" (God), not the "bankers," or all the other things that truly do not matter. The lyrics from "Happy Is a Yuppie Word" by Switchfoot have a very similar meaning. | |

@andjessesays, because it won't let me reply for some reason 1. He didn't say God let him go, just not to let him go. 2. "Keep the meaning to yourself?" It's called songmeanings.net. The entire point of this website is to tell others what the song means to you. |

| You can have fun, dance music without stupid lyrics. Just listen to Owl City or Family Force 5. | |

| I think the beats and the synths in this song sound really cool, but the lyrics are complete garbage... | |

How on Earth could you possibly not interpret this about a lover and not God? Does your lover own you? Did they (literally) create you? Don't think so. Now that I think about it, you could interpret this song about parents, but I still believe it's about God. |
