It's totally got to be about Eva Braun at least on some level - could have more layers of meaning but it's too close not to be about her. |

I logged in to post the same thing! It completely jumped out at me when I read the lyrics - I think he changed Eva to Ava just to have the alliteration. |

I think this song is a continuance of Miss Murder, and both songs are about Hitler and Eva Braun. |

I think it's about Chernobyl. To me it seems like the continuation of the story told in "The Spoken Word" from STS. Pool could refer to the pools in the reactor which is what malfunctioned leading to the disaster. The storm = radiation cloud, of course "radiate" is obvious. Listen to this and look at pictures of abandoned Pripyat, Ukraine and it will chill you. |

Actually, after typing that it just occurred to me that Morningstar Farms is an Adventist company and I think the name means something to that religion, as does The Great Disappointment and perhaps Dancing Through Sunday. What is this connection with AFI and Seventh Day Adventism? Coincidence? |

Obviously, this song is about vegetarian food. Morningstar is a brand of meatless burgers, hotdogs, etc. I have a veggie burger craving every time I hear it. |

I saw this video on VH1 and this song makes me cry honestly, and I really don't like this kind of music normally. It makes me think of when I was 18 though, not fifteen, and freshman year of college. When I was 15 I was just trying to survive day to day in an abusive environment (both at home and school) but when I went away to college I really felt all these same emotions this song captures perfectly. I met my best friend, I fell stupidly for everyone who said those three magic words, I did so many stupid things I don't know how I'm still alive, I thought I had it all figured out but I had no idea what I was supposed to be. |

I think this is about Chernobyl, and that Decemberunderground is about the aftermath. I was looking at some pictures of Chernobyl exclusion zone today and in the ones where it's covered with snow it so reminds me of the imagery in DU.
If you look at pictures of Chernobyl, and listen to this you can totally see what I'm talking about. There's even an image of a ferris wheel in the abandoned exclusion zone, ie "the ferris wheel silently slowed to a stop." |

I always picture a mental asylum when I hear this song. It would make a great video in my opinion. |
