Who is Charity? I don't think that is right. And all the bros Try for the girls, who try to tear off these tight clothes She got a hat and all he has is his asshole She'll be a' boppin to me TO ME, this makes more sense because this song is speaking about all the fans, who hang on their favorite band(s) words/lyrics. The girls are just clinging to kol, who gives a damn about who she came with. And it is definitely And London sings, Because England swings and they sure love the tales i bring Which TO ME is a reference to how KOL became a hit in europe way before the united states, because lets face it... The majority of America listens to the shittiest music. (prime example would be the tone deaf singings of Taylor Swift and the majority of country music, oh and Nickelback)and needs to be told by the radio what music is good, which is why Sex on Fire (though is a good song)became one of their first hits here, when KOL has many MANY better songs than that. |

Actually, not all of the songs make you have to think, or have some deep meaning secretly encoded into the lyrics. (example: Soft) And black cat does make me think of a do-wop song, whether that is what was intended or not. and I am not saying anything bad about KOL's ability to write songs, I agree they are amazing artists, and believe it or not, i thought that years before Sex on Fire came out. |

I love the simplicity of this song. Honestly when I listen to it I think of the two birds, not a couple or friends or any person. One bird likes the adventure of life, one bird likes the simple comforts of things he are used to. It means don't get stuck in the everyday. Do something that is out of the ordinary, adventurous, and just have some fun. |

| I saw them in concert in minneapolis in september. I told my boyfriend I could die happy If i heard this song that night. It was like the fifth song they played and was INCREDIBLE. My favorite Kings song by far and I have been listening to them for a couple years now. LOVE LOVE LOVE Kings. | |

| It may say black cat in the booklet but i think black guy fits better. "once you go black you dont go back" is a common heard saying... So, saying black guy with the gift down below makes sense to me. And if you are singing about getting a blow job, black cat just does not sound good, even if it means it like "cool cat". When i hear "cat" in that reference it makes me think of a 50's and 60's do-wop song... | |

This is one of my favorite DCFC songs so I had to post. The Eiffel Tower built to smaller scale The freshest oxygen I'd ever inhale I tapped a bottle against the safety rail killing time To me, Im thinking of a guy just taking in the environment of Las Vegas life. How manufactured it is. And "the freshest oxygen id ever inhale" is sarcastic to me. He doesn't enjoy what he is seeing. And then this girl walks in that can find the humor and beauty in anything. Obviously, there are thousands of people around who are gambling, drinking, paying for sex... and she turns it into something more tollerable... robots. And I love the line, so empty were the faces of the dealers and the waitresses around. It just makes this girl stick out in the crowd even more. The one person who can make you look at the world a little differently. And even though you are surrounded by mundane - or sinful - or chaotic - or whatever you want to use to describe the scene of the song, this one person jumps out and shows you a glimmer of happiness or hope. I dont really see this as a guy waiting for a prostitute or anything. I just see it as him bumping into someone he can relate to in a way, someone that reminds him that life is not always bad. anyway, that's my opinion. I like the other insights on the song as well. |
