This is an awesome song. I didn't really care for it at first, but it has slowly-but-surely grown on me. It's got some really clever (and catchy) lyrics to it. Both have already been mentioned, but I'll reassert that "I kept your sweater..." and "Freud said that love..." are a couple of awesome verses. It's almost humorous looking up the lyrics to a song. For the longest time, I thought that "Freud said that love" was actually "For sev-en months..." |

The interesting thing about this song is that it's an early version of what would eventually be released as "Water landing." It's pretty interesting comparing and contrasting the two versions. This one is a little more upbeat happy; Water Landing is a unique song, it's pace changes pretty consistently throughout the course of the whole song. I think eclectic would probably be a pretty good way to describe it. It'd be interesting to see if this ever gets released. To my knowledge, it's only been leaked online (leaked by the band or not, I have no idea). I wouldn't mind seeing them release it on Ursa Minor... |
