Wow, loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong opinions about this one. To me, it's simple: Everybody has to prove his strenght, but no one is 100% indpendent. "It's alright" and "I'm the hero of this story, don't need to be saved" are so often repeated, clearly to hide inner frailty. |

I rather think the believe-believed thing is about the first feeling of seeing someone again and relive that passion (I really believe), but then realizing that things have changed and understanding that it's not possible anymore (I really believed) The fact that he begins with "I'm so glad" makes this song even more sad to me. |

This song made me buy Disintegration. Why should there be one meaning? Maybe it's just a pulse to create the story yourself. And maybe there's something about drugs or sex, but hey, THERE IS MORE THAN DRUGS AND SEX! I don't want to affend someone specific, just to express my frustration about people who find in any song a link to (one of) these subjects. Imagine, only love, sex and drugs as possible themes in music... It would be a sad, sad planet. |

This may tell a story about a really young kid stuck in the drugs world altough... I can't get rid of the idea of a civil war, especially the musical arangements, the strings, the strong guitars, ... And some lines of the lyrics like "You can run but you can't hide, because no one here gets out alive" "Buy a ticket for the train, hide in a suitcase if you have to." "This is a twister that will destroy you" Etc. etc. give rise to that kind of images . Maybe a mix of both theories? |

The French lyrics are so much more...just more. I love the whispering. To me, this song is about a relationship with love, but no fire, no connection, nothing. What, no one commented on this?? I know, it's not a very famous song but still... Anyway, to me it's about falling in love with someone perfect. But loving her is simply impossible because he has'nt enough love to give her what she deserves. She would alwys see how much she was adored by him. So he stays alone with his burning desire, and she doesn't even notice him. |
