I can't seem to find any more puns either...I think "splitting apart" is one but I'm not exactly sure...perhaps an Operaton pun? I'm not much of a board game fanatic so I'm not sure.
I think it's also about someone who is competitive. "Will you care when I'm gone" is like "Will you show me any sympathy when you knock me out of game, or are you so competitive you'll be happy?" "And it's done" is like "Will you say 'good game, I had fun' when it's over or will you be all about the winning?" and "I've really had enough" is like "Will you take into consideration that I don't like it when you flaunt my loss in my face and I tell you to stop?" I'm not exactly sure, but after some thinking that's the impression I get. |

I like the way this song is about something sad but the song is kind of jumpy. It's sort of optimistic - I like that factor |

Wow, no comments? I love this song!
So I think it's pretty clear that this song is about someone whe told a bunch of lies. Everyone has found out about it ("I know you're scared somebody will find you out. But you're not aware that we know what you're all about") and now they all dislike her ("You know you broke our trust now you're stuck on the wrong side of the fence") so it's 'all coming back to hunt them in the end' ("Picture yourself inside a room now. Imagine the freedom that you'll lose" and "You'll cry alone. Nobody will see you through. You made your choice, there's nothing that you can do") |

Can anybody work out what the first 2 lines of the chorus are? I guessed and put "And you see everything you can see, oh, Any of humanity, oh oh" but I really don't know and I can't find lyrics to this song anywhere. I think I got the rest right, it's just those lines don't make sense. And I still can't work out what the title has to do with anything. |

| Operator Please – Just A Song About Ping Pong Lyrics

I think it's about how someone might take winning a ping pong game really seriously when it's just for fun. It's probably about people who are too competitive - they don't want to loose (beef jerky aftertaste) and start getting so worked up they accuse the umpire of favoring their opponent, when really winning or losing shouldn't matter. It gets so competitive that they start bets (money order) etc. |

I really like the direction Nick J is going in here - I love the maturity of this song. I don't think the Jonas Brothers will last much longer with Kevin married and all, so I'm really glad that Nick has his own band to fall back on because I believe that his career has a long way to go. |

| Jonas Brothers – Black Keys Lyrics

I just noticed a error in these lyrics. According to the booklet that came with the CD, which would be the offical lyrics, the last lyric is "sometimes a fight is better black and white" instead of "sometimes you'll find it's better black and white."
This changes the song's meaning for me. Perhaps it's about a girl who is very self absorbed ("She hates the sun cause it proves shes not alone and the world doesn't revolve around her soul") and this has caused a fight in the relationship. She starting to twist all of their good memories (the "perfect rainbow" i.e. the colourful noise) and dragging them into the fight and the reason why they were fighting in the first place (the "black keys" i.e. the sharps and flats) is starting to get hidden behind this other colourful noise. He just wants to get down to the problem (sharps and flats) and that's why it looks beautiful, and he's really starting to hate all of the good memories (rainbow) because she keeps on using them against him. Same goes with the "lights out" - she is using the good stuff, the light in their relationship against him, and now he wants nothing more for there to be no relationship at all, and the lights to be out.
When he tries to resolve the real problem (black keys) she won't hear it because the thinks she's always right ("she loves the sky cause it validates her pride, never lets her know if she is wrong) and she "hits the gas," leaving their problems unsolved. As "she walks away" she leaves all of the good memories in ruins, and thats why the "colours fade to grey" and "every precious moment's now a waste."
The unsloved problems are getting to him (the walls are closing in) but the only way to solve them is to give into the girl, proving her right once again. That's why he can't "let em' get inside of his head" because it's more of a loss.
Wow, it's amazing how one line can change the entire meaning of a song. |

I love this song. I love songs that kind of have a slowish first verse and then completely break into full on rock in the chorus. I can't help but move the beat whenever I hear this song. |

awww, this song is so cute. I love the way it's got a feel-good feeling to it and makes me want to dance but still maintains the subtleness of a meaningful love song.
I'm not sure if that makes much sense, but anyway, I love this song! |
