this is quite the kickass song! i'm an atheist so i don't think it's word-for-word describing the true story of one guy selling his soul to satan or anything. but it's catchy as fuck and i could probably listen to it for hours on end, so whatever. |

i've heard a lot of bands/artists called satanic before - metallica, kiss, marilyn manson, even the beatles - but i think this is the first time i've ever heard someone say The Guess Who, of all bands, were legitimately possessed by satan. |

A song can repeat the same lyrics multiple times and still be good, and it can still have a meaning. For example, every other line in The Beatles' "Let It Be" is "speaking words of wisdom, let it be" or something to that effect. But I don't think anyone would have the audacity to deny the greatness of that song.
(please note that i am not making an attempt to compare the backstreet boys to the beatles or this song to let it be; that would be ridiculous) |
