Mr Lordi was quoted as saying
"I am a member of a church and our drummer Kita actually wrote and played some church music. I don't want to burn in Hell, I want to go to Heaven."
While they may not be a christian band, they do seem to have christian undertones throughout their songs. They're definitely not satanic or anything. If they were, which would mean they worship the devil, would they really have lyrics like "The devil is a loser and he's my bitch? I think not |

While I think everyone who is talking about the actual meaning of the song is right, I think it's also about the christian attitude of forgivenes we should have. To be able to forgive someone no matter how bad they hurt you. True forgiveness is like an ultimate show of strength, and I think the girl shows that by forgiving her abusive father |

But since they are Christain, then their music is as well. Its about God, there is no "hidden meaning" as you put it. God will love us no matter how we stuff up "Despite the lies that you're making Your love is mine for the taking" and his love can and will heal any hurt or pain we're experiencing "My love is just waiting To turn your tears to roses"

Well im sorry mate but Skillet IS a christian band and their music IS about God. They're just not as direct about spreading Gods word and His love, but the message is still there |
