I agree with this, sort of. Here is my deciphering of the song: A guy fell in love but he never started a relationship with a girl. The thing that never felt right was probably his emotions sending him mixed signals. The house being built on a burial ground was the relationship never built. The frozen creek is the love he had for her that will never die. He says "I would love to take you there" so he can show her the way he felt and see if she feels the same. The reason "it wasn't allowed" was probaley because it was a forbidden realtionship. I could be completely wrong, but the song means a lot to me if i think of it this way. |

| this is just an idea, I think this song is about a guy who likes a girl, but realizes she has a boyfriend, and that "changes everything", now he knows he will only be happy if she breaks up with him. | |
