T.I used to write songs for rappers before he actually became one himself. He's mentioning that in the first verse. "Amazin they ungrateful after all the game I gave away Safe to say I paved the way for you cats to get paid today You'd still be wastin days away, now had I never saved the day" He's amazed some of them are hating on him now that he's successful when HE helped make them successful. The game he gave away was the lyrics he wrote for them that helped them get hits. "Consider them my protege, homage I think they should pay Instead of being gracious they violate in a major way" He was happy to do it for them and instead of them being grateful they turn around and hate on him when he comes out on his own. "I pray for patience but they make me want to melt their face away Like I once made them spray, now I could make 'em put the K's away" Him saying he made them spray .. he's talking about all the good lyrics he had them using and now he could make them put their shit down by not giving them anymore ammo.
