Clear from the first verse he is talking about leaving a group of friends who we was close with, now the parties have ended for him, 'confetti floats away'. 'Parties in my honour' are presumably his leaving parties. He's 'passing the baton' on to the new members of the crowd because he's moving on. The Silver moons symbolise the late nights they had together. They used to belong to him but now he won't be with them any more they belong to the rest of them. "tell their fathers that i'm on my way" seems to mean he feels he's leaving his childhood or adolescent period behind him and becoming a man. I'm finding the last verse a little more difficult to understand |
