The Postal Service – Clark Gable Lyrics 15 years ago
It's a very small part of the song, but I don't think Ben would have included it if it weren't important. "Greasing the lens" is, I believe, a technique that some photographers/filmographers use to create a vignette effect. http://gizmo.do/bR1bZg

I wonder if this song has anything to do with this website/project? http://photooftheday.hughcrawford.com/

Lights – Lions! Lyrics 15 years ago
Definitely about WoW. When I saw her live, she introduced the song by saying "This is a song about massivelymultiplayeronlineroleplayinggames!"

The Postal Service – We Will Become Silhouettes Lyrics 16 years ago
I think it is extremely romantic that, after cans of food and filtered water, "pictures of you" are third on the top of his essential survival items
list.

The Postal Service – Recycled Air Lyrics 16 years ago
It could just be because I'm in a dark mood, but I think this song is about death/suicide by asphyxiation. He takes his last breath. Then feels green at the sickness of the thought/act if killing himself. Recycled air means breathing the carbon dioxide he breathes out. Knuckles clenched to white as he struggles. Then releases his cares as he passes out or finally dies.
