Oh my, the first song I heard from Mark Kozelek and it hit me right away. I was thinking about so many accidents we can read about in news or watch on TV and we just kinda accept it. But this song paints so vividly one life and it reminded me that behind headline there is someone's daughter, son, brother, cousin, a person. It helped me not to take anyone's life for granted. Beautiful.

When I first heard this song many years ago I didn't like it, it just didn't fitbwith overall vibe... But I heard it recently and found it moving. It's easy to find yourself connected to the lyrics, if you know anyone in dire situation, financial, addiction, chronic sickness... There's this movie "Still Alice" about a woman with early onset Alzheimer, thos lyrics fit perfectly. Song is sad but soothing.

Great movie, great song... To all you folks who think society is a bitch, count me in. They told me it would pass, that negative feeling but it didn't. On contrary, it's growing. What bugs me most is ideao that I would have to work for that ''sociey'' which seems pointless to me. Another cog in machinery.
