There was this wine that my grandpa told he about when he was in germany for ww2.. All the people who gave it too him had called it "wild wine" beacuse it had a effect like absinthe. it would make u see things \and he said his friends and him had gotten very drunk off it one night and that it was wild wine pretty much and that its effects had lasted for a while. so maybe it is just a refrence to this
