I think the first line is about autoerotic asphyxiation, like "The knife or the rope the lemon this brain and I," the knife to cut you down, the rope to cut off oxygen the lemon to jolt you back and your brain, that's why he drops in the next line. I don't know just an idea. |

Being bi-polar this song represents, to me, the constant pinball of emotion that comes with it. "Tried to it before it started again/pushed it away forced to laugh/but inside I didn't have the breath/and oh-it feels so strange-when it comes again," to me sounds a lot like trying to be happy or pruvey hapiness but being misrable on the inside. Or if happiness does come you try to hold on longer knowing that eventually you'll be depressed later. |

Does it mean anything that this song is followed by I'll come running? Like this song is his regret, his night of drinking and then I'll come running is his depression after a night of drinking. That's just how I see it. |
