I saw my better half, the better half of a decade, slip through my hands inside her hands inside my pockets. When she reached for her advantages I should have done something. Through "her" his life was better- his life slipped into her hands and then into his pockets where treasures and memories are kept.. Seems he let her slip away too as she "reached for her advantages"- i guess that means as she needed him to value her- he did nothing.. I saw my baby boy digging his own hole, keeping alive family traditions. When he lied about intentions I I should have done something. It sounds like his son, but what I think is that he is talking about himself and the boy inside him... digging his own hole in life, keeping up with how his father was and what was always expected of him from his family.. Well, I blame myself for everything, it keeps my conscience clean. I've got bandages to prove it. There's nothing he can do now, he should have done something when he had the chance... His bandages are either physically hurting himself or just his mental wounds covered with "bandages" or a facade. |
