Zombies.. Lets start by whom isn't a zombie? Moses, the Israelites, Noah and sons and daughters. Hmm sounds like Patriarchs of the bible, those whom served God. Who is the rain going to fall on? Who is the pieces going to fall on? Pieces I'd say refer to the commandments. Rain fell on the sinners or those who would not listen to Noah's warning (Noah was also a preacher of righteousness). By this I'd say, zombies refer to non-believers "those that laughed at him" even those that sit in high places (the video refers to a warring general). The Rain didn't "fall"on Noah. The Pieces didn't "fall" on Moses. Thus why I say those as listed above are not zombies. Pieces fall or the Law falls on the zombies. They are under the Law. Rain was the punishment that falls on the zombies , they were "judged" zombies hide from the Law or from Judgment. Zombies show your faces, could mean come out and repent. or the Pieces aka the Law or the Rain aka judgment will fall on you. "Holy Father..... where have all your children gone ", well, we are all God's children. I think this is a song about telling people (zombies) to repent....title is "ALL you zombies" and even includes "children (God's)". the song does define who the zombies are and defines what Rain and Pieces are too. Any objections? This is after all, my interpretation on this. Heck I could be wrong. |

I read a lot of comments about flying and being crazy. I think being crazy is being a Christian. in the mainstream Christians are also called crazy. Now this 70 thing which I read a lot about in the comments. King david mentions in Ps 90:10 "The days of our years are three score years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away." Hmm fly away? where is that in the lyrics? Who flys away? In the passage, the chrsitians. In the lyrics those who are crazy enough to be Christians. I do not know the song writer well enough to know if he (or they) is of a Christian background. This website is about opinion, and well, that is mine. |

| crack!? crack!? the orginal is booze. well the foos modernized it a bit. hearing the orignial sax is legendary when that sax tune is played -people know it. it is that well known. as for the guitar, knowing that you are going to play a tune that is famous. the person who played the guitar knew he had to get that tune right. this songs guitar to me is played very well -takes the place of the sax. but i think people who grew up with this on the radio will always think the sax is much better, and is a steriotypicly moral instrument. (jazz blues classics were never really thought of as evil genres as like heavy metal or death metal in which the guitar is well heard in those genres. linking the electric guitar to satanic music. i mean i don't hear the sax in black sabbath or metalica, or ACDC) | |

"my eyes become alive" there are 2 syllables but it may be "enlarged" and i do hear "and if i should fall..." but fades softer i've played it slower and lowered the surround volume, it does come in the center channel. the surround channels drown out the rest so i could not hear the rest of "and if i should fall... But not one was aware Of the fire that burned this line explains it all. he says he's "looking for love". the storm represents chaos, unsteadyness. he wants that burning desire for love but can't find the right one. well he says "In my heart, in my mind, in my soul" --- is he also searching there? within himself? now in the first verse he says "i was leaving for home with the storm behind me." maybe he search was chaotic, stormy. he needed something. what he found was in the storm. and now he leaves for home. "with the day came the resolution, i'll be looking for you." he realizes haveing a woman is like a home. he's in his storm of a search relizes what he needs. a new day begins, now he knows and journeys on his "road of his own" meaning he's still alone but travels in the road of life to find love. but with the resolution that love is his bright and new day that gives him happiness to try to find. he's not chaotic anymore. |
