im caught up on the meaning of the river... i think it represents time. the 2 direct references are: "The river leaves run cold and dry" - hes saying that the river runs dry so time is up and he has to make a decision "I try to let the river flow in and out of me And pray I float the way I think I want And pray I float at all " He is trying to control time and bend it to his wants. Then he ends just praying he can just float in the river of time at all. |
