This song is great and the meaning is actually quite simple. He basically saying that you cant let a little pain or hiccup slow you down, you have to keep pushing forward cuz in reality its just something small like a hairline fracture. SUre it hurts but there's no point in letting it hold you back and completely control you. This is illustrated in this line; We pick up right where we left off

To me this song is about how he was with this girl and she broke his heart, left him, etc. This is depicted in the chorus; and all it was was something beautiful when tides and dreams dont seem so tall. This line says that what he had with her was beautiful because she made him feel like anything was possible. (when tides and dreams dont seem so tall) his dreams being attainable through her, and how she made him feel, and the obsticles in his life, (the tides) seemed like nothing when she was with him. Yeah mabye its all for the better now, yeah maybe things sort of make sense. This line shows how he feels looking back on the heartache, maybe its all for the better now saying he learned something from the experience, but the next line shows he's still hurting from it deep down. maybe things sort of make sense. he sees what really was going on but is still unsure of how he should feel. |
