This is what I thought: Because he does not have the power to stop people from committing crimes. If we assume he's some kind of God, God did create life, but all he could do afterwards was merely watching the human and their society. If he's an angel, angel can't punish human either. He can just save them at the very least (like he did with the little boy) So he's trying to tell the mankind to reflect upon their own actions. He can save the innocent souls but can only drop tears for the tainted ones. Though his message might be all in vain. I like that the song is talking about our reality. It's sad but true. |
