@[UShudNoBtr:5360] Ronnie said in a few interviews that the song was kind of a joke and that they "did all they could do" to end segregation. If you check out the album cover of Street Survivors Ronnie is wearing a Neil Young T-shirt. Funny how many people think of this as a Pro-Alabama song. |

Actually this song has been interpreted in two ways. It is a lullaby that could be sang as a mother to their child or as a slave/nanny to a white baby. As a mother to child it implies to the child that this is the only time in their lives that they will live as equal to a baby from wealthy parents, at least until they grow older and realize the harsh reality of the south. Kind of a sad song. |

FYI to all the younger music fans. If you were a guy in the 80s who actually liked Poison you would get your ass beat like a drum. If you wanna know all about Poison just look at their first album cover (and No it wasn't cool at the time). |

Its about the republican party. "God Money" = self righteous evangelicals. "not concerned about the sick among the pure" = Cutting funding for childrens health services. "not one to choose" = NOT pro-choice. "I'd rather die than give you control" = self explanatory.
