Ahhh how nice to hear a new song. Like mentioned before, Its about being through hard times, and feeling on top of the world after it all. In the last powerful verse, "I wouldn't know how sweet this tastes now No, if at first I deny, girl The bitter times, the bitter places I'll ... the new battles But, for now, we're here" it seems he is glad that there is hills and valleys in life, cause he appreciates what he has now that the hard times are over. And for the blank, i believe he says "ill stay alert for new battles" And yeah he does show his love fore texas... but who wouldn't :D |
