Chromeo – Call Me Up Lyrics 16 years ago
=). Never has a song ever read my soul. Love the beat.

I noticed the singer says "These fourteen numbers never felt so right" when he is probably referring to his phone number. In the U.S., we have 9 numbers to our phone number, including zipcode so why does he say 14 numbers and not 9? I know this band is from Montreal, Quebec so his phone number is probably longer because he resides internationally. Just thought this was interesting..

As to the meaning of the song, I think it is quite clear. The singer's character is feeling rather lonely and hopes a girl he is interested in calls him. It doesn't matter what they do, as long as he's with her.

Man.. I love how the beat itself really shows the feelings of the singer's character. I might be crazy or something, but I can't help but admire their ability to not only tell you what they might be feeling but also let you feel it. It's like art to me. It's something, I think, that might be undervalued nowadays.

OneRepublic – All The Right Moves Lyrics 16 years ago
To me, the lyrics are not quite clear since I can't tell who "they" seems to refer to. My take on it though, I could be wrong, is that this song is about a relationship as have been said between a guy and a girl. The guy feels that she is too good for him ("you're the queen of spades") and that the relationship won't last.

Possibly he feels this way because he thinks society or other people are trying to break them up ("but soon they'll take us down/
Before anybody's knowing our name") and also in this section of the song :

"All the right friends in all the right places
So yeah, we're going down
They got all the right moves in all the right places
So yeah, we're going down"

Also, I am trying to understand the connection between the song and the video. The video depicts a masquerade ball. Perhaps, the guy thinks their relationship is a masquerade. That is he thinks that even though his girlfriend thinks that their relationship is getting better ("And the grass is getting greener each day/I know things are looking up") when in fact he knows it's falling apart ( "but soon they'll take us down.")
