This is exactly what I thought of the song when I heard it. I never got the impression that it was about a relationship with someone else. I have been looking to see if anyone shared the same thought as me. In the second Verse, I sensed the sarcasm in that he's toasting to something to a life that, although may be successful, is not fulfilling his lifes purpose. Very well said. |
