ratslab i do understand what you mean but in my option there lyrics being the way that are is a good thing. just over two years ago i first listen to some music from skillet on the net from that time on i have liked there music but at that time i was not a Christan. i was going and still am going out with a Christan girl she had been trying to show me Jesus and show me how i needed to be saved for over a year before i found skillets music. I spent alot of time just listening to there songs looking at it the "non god way" but on day I started to look a little in to the background of skillet as a band this was the point where i found out they where a Christan band and after that i started to ask my self question like how have i been listen to this music, But when i calmed down i stopped to think and come to see the message in there music. So the versatility in skillet's music is part of what brougth me to the point where i am today as a Christian. I just pray that there music can play as big of a part of saving more people like it did me. |

ratslab is right but i also think the song is saying that if we know the people who we are close to as well as we should that we should be able to tell when they say something that they do not mean and want to take back. |

I know in there area i live in to other people around my age god is a secret as they do not go to church and they have not had backgrounds which have lead them to know god.
I also know the feeling of coming to know god in your late teens and this song covers those feeling very well |
