Envy on the Coast – Clean of You Lyrics 15 years ago
I truthfully believe that Ryan is a Deis. Because As Rose stated... Alot of his songs talk about religion. But yet, he only talks about the possibility that there MAY BE a God. He doesn't trust the Church, but he buts trust in God. After listening to both albums, and researching Deis from my boyfriend and best friend (who are Deis), he really does sound like that is the religion that he wants to be.

Eminem – Beautiful Lyrics 15 years ago
I was raised with Eminem. And I know a lot of his songs by heart. But through the years I became a metal and rock fan. This song hit me hard 'cause it reminded me a lot of my own life. I'm definately remembering why I fell in love with Marshal Mathers to begin with, 'cause I'm in love with him again. This song has to be his best.

Envy on the Coast – The Great American T-Shirt Racket Lyrics 15 years ago
I agree with the twloha idea. But deffinately not the religion idea. If you actually pay attention to their songs, they go back and forth on the possibility of there being a God. Ryan doesn't hate religion. He just has the ideas of a Deis. A religion that acknowlages the idea of the possibility of a God and Jesus. Because if you pay attention to the lyrics of "The Gift of Paralysis" the whole song is talking about God (under the alias of the "doctor").

" "You've got your very own heaven sent Jesus Christ.
Christ, what's the hell that make me?
parasite, parasite.
Write it anywhere that you'd like."
I thought he was saying like if you worship and obsess over Jesus, what does that make you? a parasite. Christian = parasite "

That part of the song is talking about how TWLOHA is LIKE Jesus to these people who this they are "depressed". Honestly I agree with EOTC that TWLOHA is a fake. And that people who SEEK attention for their "problems" are just taking help away from those who really need it.

Envy on the Coast – Made of Stone Lyrics 15 years ago
I actually believe this song is talking about a girlfriend.

"And you think I'm made of stone,
I'm chiseled out of brick.
I'm a vase that shatters
Holding such beautiful things."

I think that part is what she thinks of him. That she thinks he's perfect.

"I'm a machine,
I'm made of recycled clicks
To keep you in line when you step out of time,
I rule with my iron fist
I think about the plan the whole world wrote for us
And sometimes it hurts,"

That's talking about how he is trying to make the best life he can for her. And he's trying really hard to be strong for her in a difficult time.

You know how it feels...

"When I start to think you're made of stone,
You're chiseled out of brick.
You're the vase that shatters
Holding such a pitiful thing.
You're made of stone,
You're chiseled out of brick.
I still believe in this."

This is talking about how he understands how she feels, because he feels the same way about her.

Story of the Year – Until The Day I Die Lyrics 16 years ago
So the irony to me that this song has is that the guy that got me listening to Story of the Year kept repeating that this was his song to me, and that it was talking about how much he loved a girl. Last year I was talking to a friend who knows more about SOTY then my ex did. And he says it means about how much he (SOTY) did love her, but he couldn't stand being with her. It's ironic because that's how I feel about him. Last summer I did a little block concert with my friends for fun... He was there. And I got down from the stage and sang that right in his face.

Story of the Year – wake up the voiceless Lyrics 16 years ago
I thought there is a possibility that this song is about governments. Like how they try to show us that their way of living is better:

"They advertise your life
Through a blanket of lies
Expand the truth
So their profits will rise"

But that those who aren't "politically correct" (The voiceless) are't going to just sit there and let it happen to them:

"They're the reason for defiance
We can't ignore
We're the promise of a new day
This is a war
The blood will spill
The voices will be heard
And tonight, we are alive"
