I agree with GabrielDeRose, the catholicism comes through fairly strong. I absoloutely adore the melody structure through the bridge thing. It sounds so fantastic and I am so jealous of her vocal control in that section. It's rare for someone to be able to do vocal gymnastics that good for an entire section that way. R-E-S-P-E-C-T |

I pretty much agree with RaidenKitsune I think the first verse is basically about how he felt pressured by her support in their relationship and broke it off, and so she left but now, years later she's back a changed person hence "you won't recognise me, the light in my eyes is strange" The chorus, to me seems to be about her asking that they can try again, this time without the intensity she used to have, just letting the conditions carry them like when she talks about "the wind in the dark" and "moonlight pulling the tide". I feel the second verse is about how she has gone and experimented and built a life, and discovered she can't hold it all together without him, and found she needs him, and is vulnerable as well. In the third verse I see it as her wanting to do anything just to get a reaction out of him, and find a way to get it through to him that she's changed and would give anything for another chance because she's realised she need him. A truly lovely song. |

This is a really perceptive response, I thought about it for ages and had trouble but what you said really resonates. It's a beautiful song and that interpretation sounds accurate to me. I am impressed. Well done. I really love Regina's music. |
