I've listened to this song countless times and in my opinion the lyrics and the actual mood of the song somewhat contradict one another. The song is very depressing to me. Probably one of the most depressing songs I've ever heard. The lyrics are hopeful and dreamy but the music itself is actually very depressing and dark. That's why if you look through all the comments a lot of people feel sad or depressed after listening to the song. I read a study that stated that music with very slow tempos are considered the most sad regardless of lyrical content. |
