| To me, this about authoritarian powers that grow and leave destruction in their paths. Good people are evil when their speech doesn't please the powers that be, so they are deemed "sinners". All sinners must be burned in order for a better society to grow. A compliant society with the authority in charge. Open a history book and you'll find a plethora of "Burning Times" in our past and present. Sometimes you just have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.
