Well, I think it's related to the later lines:"There's a place for us you know the movie song" I'm not entirely sure what this means. But when I heard it I thought of the song in West Side Story (which is based off of Romeo and Juliet) called "Somewhere." One of the lines in that song is: "There's a place for us..." So yeah. Maybe a stretch but that's what I thought of when I heard it. |

First off let me say I love Mayday Parade. They are amazing and make beautiful music (with OR without Jason). Secondly, I think this song isn't about a girl. To me it's about how something hurt him (i.e. relationship) and how he copes with it. For example, to me the "secret love" is music. Everyone's secret love is something different. Unfortunatly, some turn to drugs. I interperate this song to be about 'getting away' from the world. Not about a person. And let me stress that this is the meaning this songs holds for me. It could be something different to someone else. |
