When her album was being played on triple J, lisa told the listeners this song was about her being jealous of another band, who had hit the big time, and she was still wondering along.. they're still her friends, and she was jealous at the time, but she was also happy for them.. she had a laugh saying that the band sort of knew the song was about them, she was embarrassed but it turned out to be a wonderful song.. |

This is just my opinion to this wonderfully sung and layed out song. It makes me think about what else is out there?.. far far far away? I just finished school and everything was becoming tough, with friendship fallouts, family deaths etc.. and i just wanted to be far far far away. I sort of made me happier to know that once everything had finished here, i could move on and do what i want.. somewhere far far far away.. (: |

This reminds me of my friends and myself. I'm a leo, and i think i am a lion, so it's no suprise i laughed at the lyrics when i first bought the album.. "But even the bravest Lions, They need a sidekick I know that even the tallest kings, They need a sidekick" I think i'm a tough nut sometimes, but this points out that we do need our friends, we're not brave enough or tough enough without them. I just recently finished school, and the last year or so, my friends and i have become less tight knit then we were before, so when i heard the lines.. "There's no place like the place we used to go There's no friends like the friends we used to know like the friends we used to know" .. I realised they are there, and I need them, they are the best thing that has happened to me! |

I feel as though this song is about death, whether it be death or the 'death' of a relationship. It reminds me of my grandma, who is currently on her death bed, she can't breathe all that well, "Stay with me...Let's just breathe..." But this song has helped me understand that "every life must end" and "I'm a lucky man, to count on both hands the ones I love, Some folks just have one, yeah, others, they've got none" - I have an extremely loving family and I appreciate it so much. It also feels as though they describe my granny perfecly with the line "Nothing you would take, Everything you gave..." - it's my gran all over. The line that got me was the last 2 lines "Hold me til I die, Meet you on the other side..." - I know she will look out for me when she passes, and i know that I will see her later in life..
