| And to add that Regina really knows how to combine the music and feelings, they go perfectly toghether, she really is amazing. | |

I don't know about some specific interpretation of this song, but generally speaking, I think it's about how people do not appreciate something that's given to them - our Blue Planet for example, and how everyone now is just fake, they're separating by cutting trees of knowledge and making fences - people are judging people, putting an etiquette on everyone. And the chorus is giving me a very pleasent feeling: "Blue lips. Blue veins. Blue, the color of our planet from far, far away." and the beggining, too: He stumbled into faith and thought, "God, this is all there is?" The pictures in his mind arose, And began to breathe." It's like: look at this world, it's perfect. It's like the person is speaking about how life is a wonderful and precious thing and how we should take care of ourselves, but still enjoy in minor things who make our life so precious and not just rushing, forgetting to smile and breathe the air. |

| Regina Spektor – One More Time with Feeling Lyrics | 16 years ago |

My eyes water when she says "hold on" and "this is why we fight". I don't know is this song about someone who's fighting a disease or just trying to impress somebody, but I think that generally this song is about trying. How we should not kill ourselves with perfectionism, how we should be ourselves and do only what we are able to. Though the first verse reminded me on a hospital a lot and on a person who is dying. This song is quite optimistic, but it made me cry. |

| I knew the lyrics but I really didn't get any hints for the interpreting, I was just imagining everything she said....so we get very, very weird world about androgynous woman who has eaten her dog, and the alien pods and people who turned to pumpkins, etc. It's quite interesting. | |

WOW, how some people analyze the song and find a very deep meaning in it... I don't know, but this song to me represents just some kind of everyday life. She is just young at heart and doesn't like the responsibilities that marriage brings her....or she wants to be young....so she goes to the parties and gets drunk. And when they get back home, her husband holds her hair when she's throwing up. And they talk about buildings being so tall these days... It just gives me idea that it's so long and boring when you're in the elevator or when the elevator doesn't work (maybe that's their case?) you have to go long way upstairs. Then the next morning, it's the hangover thing... Husband goes to work and she's going through that hangover... But she feels guilty because he's so good to her, so she wants to clean the bathroom. And someone mentioned something about the part of "she asked for time...." that they have all time in their hands, but they want to do something with that time and that's because she's drinking, to waste her time, and when she gets back home she spends all her time feeling sick, and the same story happens all over and over again so it looks like she doesn't have time, but she just spends it in a wrong way. That's my opinion. |
