Dispatch – Questioned Apocalypse Lyrics 16 years ago
To me this song is pretty similar to the allegory of the cave by Socrates. Basically, the man in the cave is the narrator of the song, and he is enlightened and shown that his tiny image of the world (his bubble) is not reality. When he tries to go back into the cave to enlighten the others, they want to kill him because they are happy with the way things are in their version of reality, just like how the brother thinks the narrator has been "poisoned" or corrupted. Anyway, read the allegory of the cave or at least sparknote it if you're not familiar with it it's a pretty important piece of literature.

Another thing, this song reminds me of a Jesuit motto I've heard from my high school: "If you leave here happy with the world the way it is, then we have failed you." Wake up to the rest of the world, leave your comfort zone, etc. etc. Awesome lyrics, possibly my favorite of any Dispatch song.
